See a New York theater show at a discounted ticket price, hear the venue’s story, and discuss the performance over a drink.
About this tour
Step beyond the marquee and into the close-knit world of New York theater, where local stages bring stories to life and every performance feels personal. This 180-minute New York Theatre Experience pairs a live show with the perspective of a host who has attended theater weekly for more than 10 years.
Meet outside the theater, hear about the venue’s history, then take your seat for a performance. Your ticket is offered at a price discounted by 20%–50% compared with the usual price. After the show, continue the conversation over coffee, tea, or drinks. If you’re the first person to book a particular date, you can choose which show to see; watch for a message from your host a few days before the experience with the details.
Discover the community and character behind New York’s local stages, then share your impressions while the final scenes are still fresh. Book your New York Theatre Experience and make an evening of live performance and conversation.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.93 from 14 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.5. Top 26% in New York City means it ranks in the top 26% of tours in New York City by this score.
