Experience Puccini’s Tosca at New York’s Metropolitan Opera House, where raw melodies and Rome’s historic drama fill a 185-minute performance.

About this tour

Step into the charged world of Puccini’s Tosca at New York’s Metropolitan Opera House. Set in Rome on June 17, 1800, the opera unfolds from morning through the following dawn, against the backdrop of a city awaiting news from the Battle of Marengo.

The story moves among three real Roman landmarks: the Church of Sant’Andrea della Valle, Palazzo Farnese, and Castel Sant’Angelo. Puccini’s verismo score brings the drama close, pairing sweeping melodies with ambient sounds and moments of spoken dialogue that heighten the tension. This 185-minute performance offers a vivid encounter with one of opera’s most closely place-bound stories. Best available seats are assigned at purchase, and mobile tickets make entry convenient. Choose accessible seating by noting your needs at checkout, then settle in for Tosca at the Metropolitan Opera House.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
