Explore Oahu’s rugged countryside on a private off-road tour, with mountain trails, WWII sites, and a hidden cave along the way.

About this tour

Trade busy roads for rugged trails on a private Oahu off-road adventure through the countryside of Gunstock Ranch. Choose the Private Off-Road Adventure or the shorter Private Off-Road Explorer, and share the ride with your own group and a guide.

Starting at the ranch, travel past grazing cattle and tropical plants as your guide shares stories about the land, its history, and its role in WWII. Explore scenic mountain trails, stop at historic military sites, and visit a hidden cave featured in Hawaii 5-0. Along the way, take in panoramic viewpoints, look for native wildlife, and pause for photos. When tropical fruit is in season, you may have the chance to sample it fresh from the land.

The Private Off-Road Adventure includes a picnic lunch with views of Oahu’s North Shore; the Explorer offers a shorter, action-packed ride. Both options return to the ranch. Choose your preferred Oahu off-road adventure and discover a quieter, wilder side of the island with your group.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 3.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Oahu
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
