Climb the Eiffel Tower stairs to the second floor with a guide, then add a summit lift for sweeping views across Paris.

About this tour

Climb into the story of Paris on a guided Eiffel Tower stair tour, with the city opening up around you at every turn. Starting at the base, follow your guide up the stairs to the second floor and take in distinctive views of the rooftops and landmarks below. Along the way, hear about the history of this celebrated structure and see it from a perspective many visitors miss.

For an even higher vantage point, choose the option to continue by lift to the summit, around 300 meters above the city. Summit access depends on availability and opening conditions on the day; if it is closed, a partial refund will be issued. The tour lasts about two hours and is an active experience, so a moderate level of fitness is needed. Meet your guide in front of 3 Avenue Suffren, near a bus stop and Castel Café, and arrive 30 minutes early.

Choose this Paris Eiffel Tower stair tour for a more active way to experience the landmark, then decide whether to add the summit lift for a wider panorama of Paris.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.91 from 77 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.0. Top 12% in Paris means it ranks in the top 12% of tours in Paris by this score.
