Leave Paris behind for Honfleur’s historic harbor and Monet’s gardens in Giverny on a private countryside and coast day trip.

About this tour

Trade Parisian streets for Normandy’s coast and countryside on a private day trip to Honfleur and Giverny. This 9-hour outing pairs a historic harbor with the landscapes that inspired Claude Monet.

Travel by private vehicle to Honfleur, where you can admire the town’s 500-year-old harbor. Then head inland to Giverny, Monet’s former home, and explore the gardens where he painted some of his best-known works. Look for the water-lily pond and Japanese Bridge, familiar scenes brought to life among the garden paths. Hotel pickup and drop-off, bottled water, and a driver-guide are included, making it easy to see beyond Paris in a single day.

Choose this Paris Giverny and Honfleur private day trip for a relaxed way to experience two distinctive corners of France. Reserve your place and spend the day among harbor views and Impressionist inspiration.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 41% in Paris means it ranks in the top 41% of tours in Paris by this score.
