Explore Versailles Palace, its gardens and Trianon estates on a private guided day trip with hotel transfers and a three-course lunch.

About this tour

Explore Versailles Palace and its royal estate on a private guided tour from Paris. Inside the palace, admire Louis XIV’s State Apartments and the dazzling Hall of Mirrors, then enjoy free time to stroll through the French-style gardens, where 55 fountains bring the grounds to life. A promenade leads toward the Grand Canal and a lunch break at an estate restaurant or equivalent. The included three-course meal features a starter, main course, wine, dessert, and coffee. After lunch, your guide takes you to the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon, the smaller palaces once used as private retreats. Travel in an air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz minivan with a panoramic roof and free Wi-Fi, with hotel pickup and drop-off included. A licensed guide leads the visit, and the tour offers a relaxed way to see the palace, gardens, and Trianon estate in one day. Book this Versailles Palace and estate tour for a full day among France’s most celebrated royal landmarks.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.92 from 205 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.4. Top 8% in Paris means it ranks in the top 8% of tours in Paris by this score.
