Travel from Paris to explore Monet’s house, workshop, and gardens in Giverny with a multilingual audio guide and round-trip coach transport.

About this tour

Leave Paris behind for a half-day visit to Giverny, the Normandy village where Claude Monet found inspiration for his art. After a roughly 1.5-hour ride by air-conditioned coach, explore Monet’s house, workshop, and gardens at your own pace with a downloadable audio guide. The visit offers time to see the colorful flowerbeds and the water garden, where water lilies and weeping willows recall the scenes that shaped the artist’s work.

A multilingual host accompanies the journey, while the audio app provides commentary in 10 languages. The tour lasts about five hours, with approximately two hours to explore the house and grounds. Bring a charged smartphone and your own headphones; high-season visits can be busy, with queues especially likely in the morning. Meet at 45 Avenue de la Bourdonnais in Paris, then settle in for a scenic escape from the city.

Choose this Paris Giverny and Monet’s House audio tour for an independent, unhurried look at the artist’s home and garden. Book your visit and experience the landscapes behind some of Monet’s most enduring paintings.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.97 from 389 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 3.2.
