Escape Paris for Monet’s home and gardens, with private transport, a driver-guide, and time to admire Giverny’s iconic water-lily pond.

About this tour

Trade Parisian streets for the gardens and countryside that inspired Claude Monet on this five-hour private trip to Giverny. With hotel pickup and drop-off, private transportation, and a driver-guide, the journey offers an easy way to explore beyond the city, even with limited time in France.

In Giverny, visit Monet’s home and celebrated gardens, where the Japanese Bridge and water-lily pond bring familiar scenes from his paintings to life. You’ll also stop at a local church and hear about the artist’s life and work. Entrance fees, food, and drinks are not included, so plan to arrange those separately.

Discover Giverny at a comfortable pace with private transport from Paris. Book your Paris Giverny half-day trip to see the landscapes behind some of Monet’s best-known works.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.78 from 9 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
