About this tour

Discover the Loire Valley’s celebrated castles on a private 13-hour trip from Paris. Visit Chenonceau, Chaumont, and Blois, with entry tickets to all three included. A live English-speaking guide brings context to the day as you travel with a professional driver in a Mercedes business-class car or minivan, depending on group size. Bottled water, fees, and taxes are also covered, and hotel pickup is included.

A private vehicle offers a more direct, comfortable alternative to traveling by bus, giving you more time to experience the castles. The trip is described as suitable for all fitness levels, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnancy. Meals, drinks, gratuities, and souvenirs are not included.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 41% in Paris means it ranks in the top 41% of tours in Paris by this score.
