About this tour

Travel from Paris to Normandy’s D-Day landmarks and U.S. landing beaches on a history-filled day trip. At Pointe du Hoc, look out from the high cliffs above the English Channel and see the German bunkers that remain from the battle. Then walk along Omaha Beach, remembered as Bloody Beach, and visit the American War Cemetery.

Continue to Arromanches to see the remains of its artificial port and explore the Overlord Museum, where admission is included and a collection of armored fighting vehicles brings the history of June 6, 1944 into focus. Travel between sites in an air-conditioned vehicle with a driver-guide, while an English-speaking live guide shares context along the way. Food, drinks, and optional gratuities are not included.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.87 from 95 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.7. Top 18% in Paris means it ranks in the top 18% of tours in Paris by this score.
