Explore newly restored Notre-Dame with a licensed guide, discover its history and architecture, and enjoy an intimate group of up to five.

About this tour

Step inside Paris’s newly restored Notre-Dame Cathedral on an intimate guided visit that brings its history and architecture into focus. For 90 minutes, a licensed expert leads a group of no more than five through the soaring nave, chapels, and stained glass, sharing stories from more than 850 years at the heart of French history.

Hear how the cathedral witnessed kings, revolutions, and Napoleon Bonaparte’s coronation, then learn about the careful restoration that followed the 2019 fire. The small-group format leaves room for questions and personal interaction, while the private or semi-private option offers a more focused way to experience this landmark. Notre-Dame admission is free; the independent guide service is separate from access to the interior.

Choose this Paris Notre-Dame Cathedral interior tour for a closer look at a celebrated Gothic masterpiece and the craft behind its renewal. Arrive 10 minutes early at the central meeting point and discover the cathedral with an expert guide.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 49% in Paris means it ranks in the top 49% of tours in Paris by this score.
