Explore Notre-Dame’s Gothic details and rebuilding story on a 60-minute guided tour, with access inside when public entry is open.

About this tour

See Notre-Dame Cathedral with context that brings its stonework and history into focus. This Paris Notre Dame Guided Tour begins outside, where your guide points out the façade, sculptures, and Gothic architecture before you explore further.

Learn what happened during the 2019 fire, which parts of the cathedral survived, and how it was rebuilt using traditional techniques. Your guide helps distinguish original features from restored details and shares the story behind what you see. When public access is open, the tour continues inside to key areas, with time for questions and photos. The experience lasts 60 minutes and is offered as a private or semi-private guided visit.

Meet at the entrance to the Archaeological Crypt, directly across from Notre-Dame’s front façade, and arrive 10 minutes early. Choose this Paris Notre Dame Guided Tour for a more informed visit to one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.47 from 64 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.7.
