Explore Notre-Dame’s Gothic exterior and soaring interior with a guide, then choose a crypt visit, Parisian macaron tasting, or local lunch.

About this tour

Discover Paris Notre-Dame Interior Tour with Options, a small-group experience that brings the cathedral’s history and Gothic details to life. Meet your guide by the Charlemagne statue and begin with a walk around Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Admire its sculpted portals, Gallery of Kings, and flying buttresses while hearing about its architecture, royal past, the 2019 fire, and restoration. Stories of figures such as Napoleon and Victor Hugo add a human thread to the landmark’s history.

Then enter the cathedral to see its vaulted ceilings, stained-glass windows, and chapels. Cathedral rules prohibit guided commentary inside, so your guide shares the key context before entry and you explore the interior at your own pace. The experience is limited to five guests for a more personal visit. Depending on your selected option, continue with a self-guided visit to the Archaeological Crypt, a macaron tasting at a Parisian patisserie, or lunch at a local restaurant. Choose the option that suits your day and experience Notre-Dame from outside and within.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.77 from 30 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
