See Notre Dame’s Gothic façade with a live guide, hear its history, and explore the archaeological crypt at your own pace.

About this tour

Discover Notre Dame from the streets of Paris on a 90-minute outdoor walking tour that brings the cathedral’s history and Gothic details into view. With a local guide, admire the iconic façade and intricate sculptures while hearing stories that trace Notre Dame from medieval times through its recent restoration.

The walk focuses on the cathedral’s exterior; it does not include an interior tour. Your ticket also grants entry to the archaeological crypt, where you can explore at your own pace and uncover another layer of the city’s past. A live English-speaking guide leads the outdoor tour, and mobile tickets make arrival straightforward. The meeting guide will wear an ID card or hold the tour flag. The route is suitable for all physical fitness levels, and infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller.

See the landmark up close, then continue your visit underground. Book this Paris Notre Dame Outdoor Tour and Archaeological Crypt experience for a guided look at the cathedral and independent time in the crypt.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
