Explore Versailles and Monet’s Giverny gardens on a small-group day trip from Paris, with tickets and minivan transport included.

About this tour

Leave Paris for a day among the grand estates and gardens that shaped French history and art. This small-group Paris Versailles and Giverny day trip travels by air-conditioned minivan, with a driver-guide and a maximum of eight guests.

At Versailles, enter with a timed ticket to explore the palace, its French gardens, the Trianons, and Marie-Antoinette’s Hamlet. Then continue to Giverny, where Monet’s home and gardens reveal the vivid colors and scenes that inspired his work. The visit also takes in quieter local landmarks, including Monet’s grave and Giverny’s church. Tickets for Monet’s garden are included, along with Versailles admission.

Expect a full day with plenty of walking, so comfortable preparation matters, especially in summer heat. The tour is suitable for guests aged 7 and older and runs in all weather. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure; once the group sets off, late arrivals cannot catch up. Choose this Paris Versailles and Giverny day trip for an intimate way to experience two remarkable places beyond the city.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.81 from 296 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
