Solve a Providence murder case across 10 mapped stops, choosing a downtown walking route or a driving adventure on the outskirts.
About this tour
Take on a Providence murder case and see whether your detective instincts can lead to an arrest. In this self-guided audio adventure, Commander Mahoney assigns you to investigate a killing on the streets of the city.
Visit 10 mapped locations, choosing a walking route through downtown or a driving route on the outskirts. The exact starting point is revealed after you select your map. At each stop, follow the live GPS directions, listen to the story, and collect clues. Then piece together the evidence, make your deductions, and issue an arrest warrant. A built-in scoring system evaluates your detective skills and delivers a final Case Performance Score.
Play solo, team up as a duo, or bring a group of mystery fans. Bring a charged smartphone and headphones or earbuds, and check the confirmation email’s Before You Go instructions before setting out. Choose your route and put your Providence detective skills to the test.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.67 from 9 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Providence
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.5.
