Explore Spearfish Canyon on a guided hike from Rapid City, with waterfalls, Black Hills views, lunch, and hotel pickup included.
About this tour
Trade the city for winding canyon roads, limestone cliffs, and the wild beauty of the Black Hills on a Rapid City Spearfish Canyon tour. Your day begins with hotel pickup before you travel into a creek-carved gorge whose dramatic palisades are described as older than the Grand Canyon.
Once in Spearfish Canyon, explore on foot with your guide and choose from hiking options suited to different experience levels. Follow natural trails, pause at spectacular waterfalls, and keep watch for local wildlife and plant life along the way. Panoramic Black Hills views make the journey as memorable as the hikes. Lunch, bottled water, and light snacks are provided, and you can enjoy lunch at a location of your choosing. After a full day outdoors, relax on the ride back to your Rapid City accommodation.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Rapid City
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2.
