About this tour

Discover the scale and splendor of the Royal Palace of Caserta, a UNESCO World Heritage site conceived to rival Versailles. Its immense facade, grand rooms, and sweeping gardens reveal the ambition behind one of the world’s largest royal residences.

Travel from Rome with luxury transportation and a private chauffeur, accompanied by a private tour leader. At the palace, explore the Royal Gardens by golf cart and visit the residence with entrance tickets and a private professional guide. The palace’s story reaches back to 1752, when King Charles VII of Bourbon commissioned architect Luigi Vanvitelli to create a royal residence of extraordinary proportions. With 1,200 rooms and 1,790 windows, the scale is striking even before you step inside.

See Caserta’s royal grandeur at a comfortable pace. Choose your tour leader’s language at checkout, and arrange wheelchair assistance in advance if needed. Book your Caserta Royal Palace and Golf Cart Tour to experience this remarkable landmark from Rome.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
