About this tour

Set out from Rome for a private day trip to Florence, where Renaissance landmarks, lively piazzas, and artisan shops await. Your English-speaking driver picks you up at your accommodation for the 275 km journey, with scenic views across Lazio and Umbria and optional photo stops along the way.

In Florence, explore the UNESCO-listed historic center, from Piazza del Duomo to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and Brunelleschi’s Dome. Visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s David, then discover the Basilica of Santa Croce, the resting place of celebrated Italian figures. Pause for lunch near Ponte Vecchio and browse local artisan shops. An optional Uffizi Gallery visit offers the chance to see works by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and other masters; admission is not included.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
