Visit Loreto’s Holy House sanctuary with a private guide and chauffeur, and admire its sacred history and richly decorated marble work.

About this tour

Discover Loreto on a private tour of the Sanctuary of the Holy House of the Virgin Mary, a place of deep religious significance and striking artistry. Your licensed private guide and tour leader accompany you, while a private chauffeur provides luxury transportation with pickup and drop-off.

At the sanctuary, visit the Santa Casa, a simple structure of three walls traditionally associated with the Virgin Mary’s home in Nazareth. The source describes its sandstone construction and a building technique used in Palestine in the time of Jesus. The sanctuary’s ornate marble work, commissioned by Pope Julius II and designed by Donato Bramante, adds a remarkable artistic dimension to the visit.

Loreto Holy House Private Tour offers a personal way to explore this important pilgrimage site. Choose your guide language at checkout, and remember to cover your knees and shoulders. Arrange wheelchair assistance in advance if needed; an additional €50.00 applies. Book your private visit to experience Loreto’s spiritual heritage and distinctive architecture with a guide at your side.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 8 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.5. Top 22% in Rome means it ranks in the top 22% of tours in Rome by this score.
