About this tour

Trade Rome’s familiar streets for a day exploring Naples, traveling between the cities on round-trip high-speed Italo trains. At Roma Termini, Touristation staff will help you get started before you head south to discover the city on your own.

In Naples, join a guided visit to Napoli Sotterranea, where ancient Greek and Roman remains, aqueducts, and hidden passageways reveal more than 2,500 years of history beneath the streets. Then use the hop-on, hop-off bus tour and your free time to explore Naples at your own pace. This self-guided day trip does not include a tour leader, so you can shape your time in the city around your interests. Naples Underground and City Tour pairs a memorable underground visit with flexible time above ground, all connected by convenient rail travel from Rome.

Arrive at Termini at least 20 minutes early, then set out for a full day of history and city discovery. Choose Naples Underground and City Tour for an easy way to experience Naples beyond the capital.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.50 from 4 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
