Explore the Pantheon with a professional guide, admire its vast dome and oculus, and hear the history of this ancient Roman landmark.

About this tour

Step inside the Pantheon and discover the story behind one of Rome’s most remarkable ancient landmarks. On this 60-minute walking tour, a professional guide leads you through the monument, sharing its history and drawing your attention to its striking architecture. Look up through the central oculus, an open circle framing the sky, and admire the vast dome. Almost two thousand years after its construction, the Pantheon’s dome remains the world’s largest unreinforced concrete dome. Your ticket and guide are included, so you can focus on the details and stories that bring the building to life. Meet your representative at the column in Piazza della Minerva, in the square behind the Pantheon. Bring valid ID matching the booking name, as entry is not guaranteed without it. Join this Pantheon walking tour to experience the landmark’s history and architecture up close.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.33 from 6 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
