See Bernini and Caravaggio at Rome’s Borghese Gallery with skip-the-line entry and a choice of guided small-group or ticket-only visits.

About this tour

Step into Rome’s Borghese Gallery, where marble figures seem to move and paintings draw you into their stories. This 120-minute visit brings you face to face with works by Bernini and Caravaggio in one of the city’s most celebrated art collections.

Explore sculptures on the ground floor and paintings upstairs. See Bernini’s Apollo and Daphne, David, and The Rape of Proserpina, then take in Caravaggio’s striking play of light and shadow in David with the Head of Goliath. Choose a guided option for an English-speaking guide and personal headset, with group sizes capped at 6 or 15 depending on the tour, or select a ticket-only visit to explore independently. Skip-the-line entry is included.

Meet in the square outside the gallery entrance and arrive at least 15 minutes early. Choose the Rome Borghese Gallery Guided Tour to experience these remarkable works up close.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.91 from 161 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.2. Top 11% in Rome means it ranks in the top 11% of tours in Rome by this score.
