Skip the lines at Rome’s Borghese Gallery, admire masterpieces with a guide, then stroll through Villa Borghese Gardens.

About this tour

Step into Rome’s Borghese Gallery, where Caravaggio’s vivid paintings and Bernini’s expressive sculptures fill the rooms of Casina Borghese. With skip-the-line access and a guide to bring the collection to life, this two-hour visit makes it easier to focus on the art rather than the queue.

Admire works including Caravaggio’s Young Sick Bacchus and Boy with a Basket of Fruit, Bernini’s Apollo and Daphne, David and The Rape of Proserpina, and Canova’s Paolina Bonaparte. You’ll also see Raphael’s Entombment of Christ as your guide shares stories and painting techniques behind the masterpieces. The experience includes a self-guided walk through Villa Borghese Gardens, offering a chance to enjoy the grounds at your own pace. The guided gallery visit is limited to 15 people.

Meet outside the gallery’s main entrance 15 minutes before departure and look for the Loving Rome flag. Book your Rome Borghese Gallery guided tour to experience the collection and gardens in one visit.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.72 from 1,236 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.3.
