See Rome and the Appian Way by golf cart, then explore the Catacombs with admission included on this three-hour small-group tour.

About this tour

Trade a long day on foot for a comfortable ride through Rome on a small-group golf cart tour. Follow the route toward the Appian Way and visit the Catacombs, where an entrance ticket is included. Bottled water and an audio guide system with headsets help keep the journey comfortable and easy to follow.

The tour lasts three hours and accommodates up to 14 participants across a maximum of two vehicles. The carts travel together while everyone listens to one tour leader through the audio system. Guests who book together may occasionally ride in separate carts, and rear-facing seats rotate every hour. Inside the Catacombs, expect about 50 steps down and 50 steps back up; wheelchairs and strollers are not permitted there. Children under 150 cm tall need a suitable child seat or booster, and every child must be included in the booking.

See Rome from a different perspective and explore its historic surroundings by golf cart. Book your Rome Catacomb and Appian Way Golf Cart Tour for a relaxed way to reach the Catacombs and enjoy the ride.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.94 from 1,078 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.0. Top 4% in Rome means it ranks in the top 4% of tours in Rome by this score.
