About this tour

Step into the heart of ancient history on a Rome Colosseum and Ancient Rome Tour led by a licensed English-speaking guide. In a small group of no more than eight, explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, with entrance tickets and the Colosseum reservation fee included. The three-hour visit brings the city’s celebrated ruins into focus while keeping the experience personal and easy to follow. Meet outside the downstairs entrance of Colosseo Metro Station, where your guide will be waiting by the arches beside the green souvenir kiosk. The route covers historic ground, including stairs and uphill sections, and the order of the sites may change according to the Colosseum entry time. Security and ID checks are required, so arrive promptly with identification that matches the name on your ticket. Children under 4 can attend for free, and children under 18 have special discounts. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.88 from 229 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.9. Top 15% in Rome means it ranks in the top 15% of tours in Rome by this score.
