Step onto the Colosseum arena floor, then explore the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill with an official guide on this 150-minute Rome tour.

About this tour

Walk in the footsteps of gladiators on a Rome Colosseum Arena Floor Guided Group Tour, then explore the ancient heart of the city with an official guide. With access to the arena floor, you can stand where combatants once faced the crowd and take in the scale of the Colosseum from within its storied walls.

The 150-minute experience also visits the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, bringing together three landmark sites in one guided outing. Headsets help you hear the guide clearly, while a group format leaves room to ask questions and engage with the stories behind the ruins. The itinerary may run in a different order, so the Forum could come before the Colosseum.

Bring identification that matches the names on your booking, arrive 20 minutes early, and allow time for security screening. Step onto the arena floor and discover the ancient landmarks that shaped Rome on this Rome Colosseum Arena Floor Guided Group Tour.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.81 from 16 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
