About this tour

Explore ancient Rome on a private guided visit to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Over 120 minutes, hear stories of gladiators, emperors, and public spectacles as you step into the city’s iconic amphitheater. Continue through the Roman Forum, where ruins reveal the political and social life of the empire, then climb Palatine Hill for panoramic views and a closer look at its archaeological remains.

A private professional guide leads the experience, with time for photos and questions along the way. Your combined archaeological park ticket covers all three sites, and Colosseum entry is timed. The tour does not include access to restricted areas such as the arena floor or underground levels. Security checks take place at every entrance, so bring valid ID and arrive 30 minutes before the start time. The meeting point is Via del Cardello 31, a short walk from Colosseo Metro Station.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.50 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
