About this tour

Step into the world of ancient Rome on a Rome Colosseum guided group tour, where stories of gladiators and the arena bring the monument’s past into focus. An expert, passionate guide shares the curiosities and secrets behind one of the most enduring symbols of Roman splendor.

Meet your coordinator, identifiable by a purple uniform, and arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start. Explore the Colosseum with a licensed guide speaking your language. Choose the option with arena access for a closer look at the setting of the games. The entrance ticket and reservation fee are included, and groups of more than 12 receive headsets. The provider notes that crowd limits can cause delays, even for pre-booked visitors, so allow time for entry.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
