Explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with a private guide, entrance tickets, and luxury chauffeur transportation.

About this tour

Step into the story of ancient Rome at the Colosseum, an enduring landmark that has stood for nearly 2,000 years. Travel by luxury vehicle with a private chauffeur, then explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with a professional private guide. Your entrance tickets are included, so you can focus on the monumental ruins and the history they hold.

Commissioned by Emperor Vespasian in 72 AD and completed by his son Titus in 80 AD, the Colosseum has weathered earthquakes, fires, and centuries of stone removal. Its surviving structure remains remarkably evocative. The Colosseum and Rome’s historic center became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1980, and the amphitheater was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2001.

Discover these celebrated sites with a private guide and chauffeur on this Rome Colosseum tour, and experience the ancient city up close.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Rome means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Rome by this score.
