Explore the Colosseum with a local guide, hear stories of gladiators and Roman engineering, and choose an option with arena access.

About this tour

Step into the Colosseum and let Rome’s most famous ancient landmark bring the past to life. On this guided visit, hear why the amphitheater was built and learn about the ingenuity of Roman engineers, the roar of the crowds, gladiator fights, and executions.

Your local expert guide leads the experience, sharing stories and context as you explore the site. A small group helps you stay close to the guide and makes it easier to ask questions along the way. Colosseum admission and the reservation fee are included; the ticket costs €18 per person, or €24 per person when arena access is included. Check your selected option for arena access.

Bring identification that matches the names provided at booking, and arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes before the start. Capacity limits can sometimes delay entry, even for visitors with reservations. Choose this Rome Colosseum Tour for a closer look at the history, engineering, and spectacle behind the ancient arena.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
