Hear Freddie Mercury and Queen songs reimagined by Italian opera singers and piano in an intimate 19th-century Rome concert hall.
About this tour
Hear Freddie Mercury’s music through the expressive sound of Italian opera in this 60-minute concert in Rome. Opera da Camera di Roma singers and piano bring a distinctive classical arrangement to songs by the legendary Queen frontman, creating a fresh perspective on familiar favorites.
The performance takes place in the association’s 19th-century hall, evoking the intimate parlor concerts of an era when classical music was popular entertainment. Alongside Mercury’s songs, the program features excerpts by G. F. Handel and traditional Indian music that reflects elements of Mercury’s biography. The concert also nods to his fascination with opera and his collaboration with soprano Montserrat Caballé.
This Rome Freddie Mercury Opera Show pairs rock history with the atmosphere of a historic concert room. Book your ticket to experience the music in an unexpected operatic setting.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.92 from 59 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.0.
