Train like a gladiator, then explore the Colosseum with an expert guide on a family-friendly day out in Rome.

About this tour

Trade a day of screens for sandals, shields, and the stories of ancient Rome. This Rome Gladiator School and Colosseum Tour pairs hands-on training with an expert-led visit to one of the city’s most famous landmarks.

Begin with two hours at Gladiator School, where members of Rome’s Historic Group lead a small shared-group session. Try gladiator clothing and weapons, then take a break before heading to the Colosseum. A licensed expert guide leads a two-hour visit, bringing the arena’s history to life. An air-conditioned vehicle and professional English-speaking driver are at your disposal throughout the eight-hour tour, with pickup and drop-off at your Rome accommodation.

Colosseum entry and reservation fees are included. Bring a valid passport or ID that matches the name submitted at booking; mismatches or missing identification can mean denied entry without a refund. Lunch is not included, but restaurant suggestions are available. Choose this Rome Gladiator School and Colosseum Tour for an engaging family day that blends active fun with ancient history.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
