Ride from central Rome to the Catacombs, Appian Way, and ancient landmarks on a guided electric golf cart tour.

About this tour

Leave central Rome behind on an electric golf cart and follow the city’s ancient edges toward the Roman Catacombs. This 150-minute Rome Golf Cart Tour brings history into view as you pass the Aurelian Walls and the Baths of Caracalla, then walk along the storied Appian Way.

At the Catacombs, join a 30–35-minute guided visit underground. Along the route, spot an ancient Roman pyramid and take in a view of Circus Maximus. Your English-speaking guide and driver leads the way, while headsets make it easier to follow the commentary. The cart carries up to seven guests, and the tour may use two vehicles for groups of up to 14; vehicles travel together and share the same guide.

The experience includes bottled water, headsets, and the Catacombs entrance ticket and guided visit. Meet inside the office at Via di Monterone, 19, and allow plenty of time to arrive before departure. Choose this Rome Golf Cart Tour for a lively way to connect landmark sights with the quieter, ancient landscape beyond the city center.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.94 from 203 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.6. Top 6% in Rome means it ranks in the top 6% of tours in Rome by this score.
