Travel from Rome through Umbria’s countryside to Orvieto and Assisi, with a private vehicle and a two-hour guided tour in Assisi.

About this tour

Leave Rome behind for a private journey through Umbria, where hilltop towns, vineyards, and historic villas shape the countryside. This 10-hour Rome Orvieto and Assisi Private Tour pairs the comfort of a private vehicle with time to explore two distinctive destinations.

Cross the Tiber River and travel to Orvieto, one of Umbria’s most beautiful towns. After your visit, continue through vineyard-lined landscapes and past ancient villas to Assisi. There, a private official guide leads a two-hour tour, sharing the city’s history and stories connected with Saint Francis and Saint Clare. Take in panoramic views of the Umbrian countryside and explore Assisi’s old town. A ticket to the Basilica of San Francesco d’Assisi is included.

Hotel or apartment pickup and drop-off in Rome make the day convenient, while the private vehicle lets your party travel together. Some monuments may be under restoration due to the Jubilee, so check any messages about possible changes. Choose this Rome Orvieto and Assisi Private Tour for a memorable day among Umbria’s landscapes and heritage.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
