About this tour

Travel from Rome to the shrine of Padre Pio, one of Italy’s best-known pilgrimage destinations, on a private day trip with a chauffeur and tour leader. Visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Church of San Pio, known as Chiesa Grande, then see the crypt that holds St. Pio’s body and explore his museum. A fixed-menu lunch is included, giving you time to pause between visits. The shrine recalls a friar remembered for his spiritual gifts, long hours hearing confessions, and the stigmata he bore. With private transportation and a tour leader whose language you choose at checkout, this Rome Padre Pio Shrine private day tour brings the key sites together in one visit. Book your journey to explore the churches, crypt, and museum at the heart of St. Pio’s story.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.83 from 6 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
