Explore Palazzo Venezia and the Risorgimento Museum, then ride the Vittoriano’s glass elevator for panoramic views across Rome.

About this tour

Step into Rome’s layered history with reserved entry to Palazzo Venezia, the Museum of the Risorgimento, and the Vittoriano Monument. Begin at the tour operator’s office with a 25-minute multimedia video about Ancient Rome, then cross the square with your host to reach the monument’s glass elevator. Ride up to a panoramic terrace for sweeping views across the Eternal City.

At Palazzo Venezia, once home to popes and the setting for Mussolini’s balcony speeches, explore the museum at your own pace. Continue to the Museum of the Risorgimento to see the Shrine of the Flags alongside memorabilia, paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings, and weapons. A downloadable city audio guide app and a panoramic-view audio guide app help add context as you explore; guided tours and audio guides for the two museums are not included.

Take in Rome’s history and skyline on one visit, with hosted entry and time to explore independently. Book this Rome Palazzo Venezia museum experience and discover the city at your own pace.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.00 from 8 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.6.
