Explore Pompeii with skip-the-line tickets, then enjoy lunch, wine tasting, and buffalo mozzarella on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius.

About this tour

Spend a full day discovering Pompeii, then unwind over lunch and wine on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. This 10-hour Rome Pompeii tour pairs skip-the-line entry to the archaeological park with a taste of buffalo mozzarella and a scenic meal in the volcanic landscape.

Travel in an air-conditioned, fully insured vehicle with a professional English-speaking driver and hotel pickup and drop-off. In Pompeii, explore the archaeological site at your own pace; the driver offers basic commentary from the vehicle but does not join you on foot. Choose the private all-inclusive option to add a licensed local guide for three hours, with the possibility of requesting a customized experience when booking. The light option may share a vehicle with up to eight travelers and is not customizable.

Wine is served to guests aged 18 and older, with soft drinks available as an alternative. Choose the option that suits your travel style and enjoy a Rome Pompeii tour that brings ancient history, local flavors, and the Vesuvius countryside together.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
