Explore Villa Gregoriana’s waterfall and Hadrian’s Villa on a private Rome day trip with a local guide and transportation.

About this tour

Trade Rome’s busy streets for Tivoli’s dramatic landscapes and ancient grandeur on a private visit to Villa Gregoriana and Hadrian’s Villa. This 420-minute trip pairs a scenic natural park with one of Italy’s most remarkable archaeological sites.

At Villa Gregoriana, follow winding paths past caves and ancient ruins as the Aniene River plunges into a deep gorge. Then explore Hadrian’s Villa, the expansive 2nd-century retreat and administrative center built by Emperor Hadrian. Its palaces, baths, temples, gardens, and reflecting pools reveal the scale and ingenuity of Roman architecture. A local guide, private transportation, and entrance tickets are included, making it easy to focus on the scenery and history. The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels, and specialized infant seats are available.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 40% in Rome means it ranks in the top 40% of tours in Rome by this score.
