Travel from Rome by private car to explore Caserta Royal Palace, then browse designer brands at the outlet on an eight-hour day trip.

About this tour

Leave Rome behind for a private day trip to Caserta Royal Palace and the Designer Outlet. Built in the 18th century for Charles of Bourbon, the palace was designed by architect Luigi Vanvitelli and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its monumental scale and ornate interiors make it one of the region’s most striking historic landmarks.

Your journey begins with hotel pickup and private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle. At the palace, explore its grand architecture with your included entrance ticket; an audio guide can be rented on site. Then enjoy time at the Designer Outlet, with private transport throughout the excursion. Wi-Fi and bottled water are provided for the ride, and parking fees are covered.

This eight-hour Rome Royal Palace and Designer Outlet tour pairs a landmark visit with time to shop, without the hassle of arranging transport yourself. Book your private outing and experience Caserta at your own pace.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 40% in Rome means it ranks in the top 40% of tours in Rome by this score.
