About this tour

Make the most of your time ashore with a private Rome shore excursion from Civitavecchia. Your driver meets you at the port in front of your ship, then takes you into the Eternal City in an air-conditioned vehicle. With a licensed local guide, you can explore Rome’s history and culture while enjoying a more personal experience with your family or friends.

The 9-hour tour includes admission to the Colosseum and skip-the-line tickets for the Vatican Museums, which are closed on Sundays. Your guide and driver can share historical insights and answer questions as you take in the city’s celebrated sights. Port pickup and drop-off are included, and the provider is authorized to enter the port’s restricted area.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
