See the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and more on a guided Rome shore excursion with port transfers and leisure time.

About this tour

Make the most of your time ashore with a full-day Rome shore excursion from Civitavecchia. Ride into the capital in comfortable transportation, then take in a remarkable sweep of its celebrated sights, from the ancient Colosseum to the Pantheon and the grandeur of St. Peter’s Basilica. Pause at the Trevi Fountain, wander lively city streets, and enjoy leisure time in the heart of Rome.

An English-speaking local guide accompanies the experience, while your driver handles the journey between the cruise port and the city. Choose the semi-private option for pier pickup or the group option for pickup at the cruise terminal exit. The itinerary and time at each stop can shift with traffic and crowds, and the limited shore time does not allow for exploring attraction interiors. Significant walking is involved, so plan accordingly.

With port pickup and drop-off, a timely return guarantee, and a full refund if your ship bypasses Civitavecchia, this Rome shore excursion makes a memorable day ashore. Reserve your place and discover the city’s iconic landmarks.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.41 from 74 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.4.
