See the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and more on a guided Rome shore excursion with port pickup and guaranteed timely return.

About this tour

Make the most of your time ashore with a full-day Rome shore excursion from Civitavecchia. Ride in an air-conditioned vehicle from the port into the city, where an English-speaking guide leads you among landmarks shaped by centuries of history.

See the Colosseum, admire the Pantheon, and visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the Trevi Fountain. You’ll also have free time in Rome’s lively center. The itinerary may shift with traffic, crowds, or other unforeseen events, and the limited cruise-stop schedule does not allow time to explore attraction interiors. Choose a semi-private tour with pier pickup or a standard group tour with cruise-terminal pickup. Significant walking is involved, so plan accordingly.

With port pickup and drop-off, 24/7 customer support, and guaranteed return to the port on time, this Rome shore excursion makes a convenient way to experience the city’s celebrated sights. Book your place and spend your day discovering Rome.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.52 from 29 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.3.
