About this tour

Trade Rome’s familiar streets for a full day among Sicily’s coastal scenery and historic towns. This Rome Sicily Day Tour pairs round-trip flights with transfers from your accommodation, airport check-in assistance, and an English-speaking driver on the island.

Choose an eastern itinerary through Catania, Taormina, and Giardini Naxos, or head west to Palermo and Mondello Beach, with a visit to Corleone or Monreale. The route depends on your selected option. Private tours include a licensed local guide and can be customized, even while you are on the tour. Prefer a lower-priced shared experience? Join a small group of up to 8 travelers; shared tours are not customizable. In Sicily, travel in an air-conditioned, fully insured, licensed vehicle.

Flights, Rome airport transfers, and pickup and drop-off are included, so you can focus on the island’s flavors and atmosphere. Lunch, food, and drinks are not included. Choose your preferred route and discover Sicily on a long, rewarding day trip from Rome.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Rome means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Rome by this score.
