Leave Rome behind for a private 8-hour Tivoli day trip, exploring Hadrian’s Villa and Villa d’Este with a licensed guide.

About this tour

Escape the bustle of Rome for a private day among Tivoli’s remarkable villas. This Rome Tivoli Villas day trip takes you to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with a licensed guide and a professional driver accompanying your group throughout the 8-hour experience.

Travel by Mercedes minivan to Hadrian’s Villa, built by Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD, then explore Villa d’Este, celebrated for its frescoed rooms and majestic gardens. Entrance tickets to both villas, transportation, and pickup and drop-off at your accommodation in central Rome are included. Your guide and driver are separate, so you can focus on the history and scenery while they handle the day’s logistics.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 40% in Rome means it ranks in the top 40% of tours in Rome by this score.
