Travel from Rome through Tuscany’s scenic countryside and explore Siena and San Gimignano on a comfortable private day tour.

About this tour

Leave Rome behind for a full-day journey into the Tuscan countryside, where rolling landscapes lead to the celebrated towns of Siena and San Gimignano. Private transportation, onboard Wi-Fi, bottled water, and an air-conditioned vehicle make the 12-hour trip comfortable from pickup to drop-off.

An English-speaking driver shares information to help you explore both towns independently, and a brochure offers guidance for your self-guided visits. Take time to discover each destination at your own pace; museum and monument tickets and lunch are not included, so you can plan those choices separately. The tour offers wheelchair-accessible transportation and surfaces, plus stroller access and specialized infant seats.

See two of Tuscany’s best-known towns on a relaxed day trip from Rome. Book your Rome Tuscany day tour and enjoy the journey as much as the destinations.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Rome means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Rome by this score.
