About this tour

Explore the Vatican’s remarkable collections and the Sistine Chapel on a private Rome Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour led by a licensed guide fluent in your chosen language. Choose the 3-hour visit or the 4.5-hour option, which adds private transfers to and from your accommodation.

Inside the museums, your guide leads you through the collections before you enter the Sistine Chapel to admire its celebrated art. The itinerary depends on the option selected. Pre-booked tickets help you avoid the ticket-office line, though voucher exchange and security checks may still take time. On the longer option, transfers are estimated at 1.5 hours round trip and can vary with traffic and distance. Groups of more than 10 receive headsets; live commentary is not permitted inside the chapel.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
