About this tour

Discover Rome’s Vatican treasures on a 3-hour Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour, with skip-the-line tickets and an official guide. A small group of no more than 10 guests makes it easier to follow the stories behind the art and architecture as you explore the museums and admire the Sistine Chapel.

Your tour also includes fast access to St. Peter’s Basilica. The guided experience ends outside the basilica, so you can use the included access tickets afterward; a guided visit inside is not included. Meet your guide in front of Caffè Vaticano at Viale Vaticano 100, where they will be holding a sign with your last name. Wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders, and bring comfortable shoes for the moderate amount of walking.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.75 from 61 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
