About this tour
Explore the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel on a private, three-hour guided tour in Rome. With preferential access, you can skip the long entrance lines and spend more time among the papal collections instead of waiting outside.
Follow your guide through the Vatican Museums to see celebrated works of art and antiquities, including masterpieces by Michelangelo. The tour also includes the Sistine Chapel when it is open. Vatican areas can close at short notice, and current Jubilee restrictions mean St. Peter’s Basilica is not accessible. If a closure affects the visit, your guide will provide an alternative focused on the museums.
Meet at the white gate of the Vatican Museums, below the statues of Raphael and Michelangelo. Dress modestly, with knees and shoulders covered. Book this Rome Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour for a more direct, guided way to experience the Vatican’s renowned collections.

How this score is calculated
This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.
How the score works
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
