About this tour

Explore the Vatican Museums with skip-the-line entry and an expert guide on this 3-hour Rome Vatican Museums Group Tour. On Wednesday morning, when the museums are described as quieter than at other times of the week, discover celebrated works of art in a small group. The route brings you face-to-face with Michelangelo’s iconic Sistine Chapel, the magnificent Raphael Rooms, ancient sculptures, and more. Your English-speaking guide shares context as you move through the collections, while headsets are provided for groups of five or more. The tour includes entrance tickets, fees, and taxes, so you can focus on the art and the experience. Meet your guide on the stairs of Via Tunisi, where they will be holding a Through Eternity sign or flag. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.76 from 21 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
